Product Development Fundraiser
Te Kaupapa
The money raised from this raffle will go towards purchasing a stunning gold koru prototype pendant crafted by a talented local jeweler from Tauranga, Greg. Previously the manager of the Rotorua Michael Hill, he now owns his own store, Diamond & Co. With this pendant, we aim to create an elegant, high-end range that incorporates some of our unique designs, showcasing the beauty of our culture and artistry.
Greg is assisting me throughout the design and manufacturing process and is connecting me with reputable manufacturers. I genuinely appreciate his professional guidance and am thrilled to be reconnecting with him and his wife after such a long time.

Correspondence between Greg and I
Here are a couple of screenshots of the 3D drawing. The distance across is 20mm, the width of the outside circle is 2.4mm and i have made it 1.0mm thick. At these dimensions each earring will weigh 2.5grams approx.
I tried the outside circle at 3.0mm but it seemed too fat compared to your drawing so im not sure why that was. I just made it 1.0mm thick so they didn't become too heavy to wear, for cost and its not necessary from a strength point of view.
I put a jump ring on the top to attach to the hook but if you want them free floating i can remove it. Any of these things can be changed, this is just a starting point, let me know what you think so far, then I can quote it up.
We have now opted for a pendant and the changes have been made.
As a pendant I have increased the thickness to approximately 1.3mm just to give it a little more strength and weight so it sits nicely. At this thickness it will weigh approximately 3.2 grams, plus the jump ring for the chain to go through.
