Height Chart & Pepeha
I am proud to present this height chart, infused with a truly unique Māori flavor. As we watch our tamariki and mokopuna grow, we can also teach and learn our pepeha together. This piece serves as both decorative and functional artwork. It features space to customize the names of each iwi you and your mokopuna are affiliated with. For an additional cost, you can have your pepeha names elegantly crafted.
There are four distinct color designs, each representing an atua. The blue and green colors symbolize Tangaroa, the guardian of the sea; the greens and browns correspond to Tanemahuta, the guardian of the forest; the black and white design represents Tawhirimatea, the guardian of winds and storms; and the red, black, and white design signifies Tūmatauenga, the guardian of people and war.
The first two color designs are hand-painted using a technique called "scumbling," ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike, making each one uniquely yours. The latter two designs feature clear and defined liner sections, resulting in clean, precise, and easily distinguishable patterns.
These items are made to order, requiring a minimum turnaround time of two weeks. Due to the delicate nature of this artwork and the high cost of courier services, pickup from Rotorua is necessary.
