Puhoro Porohita

$20.00

The puhoro design embodies the energy and movement of all things, particularly wind and water. This pattern is frequently used in ta moko (Māori tattoo) on arms and legs to symbolize the strength, agility, and flexibility of the wearer. With its elongated and elegant form, the puhoro design carries a feminine quality. It represents the wake created by a waka (canoe) as it glides through the water, symbolizing power, strength, and the drive to move forward.

This is a new design and 'porohita' refers to the round shape.

As with all our earrings they have surgical steel findings and cushion backs to hold them in place while you wear them. They are made from acrylic, which is a light-weight product that comes in a variety of colours. Now all you have to do is decide on a design and colour.
